TEE IT UP FOR THE GIRLS

A Breast Cancer Golf Fundraiser held at Fairways of Canton Golf Club on October 16, 2024.

A Total Success!

On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the annual Tee It Up for the Girls Breast Cancer golf fundraiser, organized by Bonny Lockrem, took place at Fairways of Canton in Canton, GA, supporting the Northside Hospital Foundation’s Breast Care Fund. A multitude of women dressed in pink played 18 holes to show their support.

The event featured pink-themed raffle baskets donated by attendees, with winners announced during the luncheon. On the scenic course, participants had chances to win prizes like a golf club car, and Callaway clubs.

The event raised a total of $15,850 towards the Northside Hospital Foundation Breast Care Fund.

A TOTAL OF $15,850 WAS RAISED

Funds raised will benefit the Northside Hospital Foundation Breast Care Fund and will help provide almost 130 screening mammograms for underinsured women in the Cherokee County community over the next year.

Last year, the Northside Hospital Foundation Breast Care Fund provided 2,500+ screening mammograms for underinsured women in the community. 240 of those mammograms were for under-insured women in Cherokee County – approximately $30K annually.

For patients that cannot afford breast cancer screening, Northside can help with financial assistance for mammograms through our Breast Care Fund. Through the generous support from community partners such as the Northside Hospital Foundation, Northside is able to provide financial assistance for screening mammograms and breast diagnostic services for qualified applicants.
