Advancing Personalized Cancer Care with Dr. Ioana Bonta
Dr. Ioana Bonta is a board-certified physician in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine, specializing in the use of advanced systemic therapies—including immunotherapy, targeted therapy, chemotherapy, and combination treatment approaches—to care for patients with complex malignancies.
She earned her medical degree from the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania, and completed residency training in Emergency Medicine at both Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago and University Hospital in Bucharest. Dr. Bonta went on to complete her Hematology-Oncology fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine, along with additional training in Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago Medicine.
Dr. Bonta currently serves as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at Morehouse School of Medicine and brings a strong commitment to both clinical excellence and academic advancement.
Her clinical interests include thoracic oncology, head and neck malignancies, melanoma, and clinical trials—areas where innovation and access to emerging therapies are rapidly transforming patient outcomes.
